Introducing a service breaker; make Internet sanctions ineffective Posted on April 6, 2020Leave a comment

A few days ago, the Minister of Communications on Twitter, in response to a user's criticism of the filtering of some sites, called " Breaker " a service that perhaps few people were familiar with before this tweet. As the name implies, the breaker has come around to circumvent sanctions like a legal change software, of course.

View of the Android version of the service

Let's assume that the word legal clearly defines the scope of ; this service focuses on popular and useful websites, and in fact its program is to make it easier to use tools that have sanctioned Iran from outside Iran by changing the user's IP. Now these tools can be Google services, or Corsair, PayPal, Oracle, Docker, Gitelb, and things that many people deal with on a daily basis.

Of course, in addition to the widely used tools, the minister's tweet also mentions games, but nothing can be found in the main site itself. To be on the safe side, we tested PES Mobile, which is one of the most popular phone games among Iranian users, and did not reach a conclusion. It can be assumed that video games are in future breakers.

Because the new breaker is just beginning, you may even encounter tools that the service does not support when used. That's why the developer has put a section on the site called "Sanctions Review or Report" so that if you encounter such a situation, you can send a report to the developers and wait for the review.

But how does the breaker work? The service gives the user a new IP, and by setting it up on Internet connections, it can easily communicate with sanctioned services. With the exception of Android, where you only need to install the app, you have to go through a few steps before using the breaker on the rest of the platforms.

Fortunately, the site itself has a full description and a step-by-step guide for all four operating systems: Windows, iOS, Linux, and macOS. None of them take much time from the user and the breaker can be started very quickly. Of course, if someone has a problem, they can talk to the site with support and get more help.

Now the question is: what makes users come to the breaker? The company describes the founder with four features: high speed, security, always free and easy to use. One of the problems with filter breakers is their low speed and high cut-off, and on the other hand, you will have no choice but to pay for access to the best services of these softwares.

The breaker is completely free for personal and non-commercial use. Companies and organizations also have to pay for Internet bandwidth.

By breaking these two weaknesses, the breaker has been able to separate its service from the rest to some extent. While supporting more sites, Breaker can be a more secure option for using useful tools or sites, and reduce concerns about the misuse of other filter breakers.

Sanctions have made it harder to access popular services than ever before, and as a shortcut, Breaker wants to reduce that difficulty. What about those who deal with various sanctioned sites on a daily basis for their day-to-day activities, and (possibly) those who spend hours playing video games for fun.

Of course, we hope that sanctions against Iran will be lifted in the future so that we can directly access the world's most widely used services. Because using a breaker will not mean solving all the problems, but given the current problems, this service with its content security, high speed and of course being free to some extent has the potential to start the work of users.
